About The Position

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Specialist. This position will be based out of our new Palmdale clinic. This position is responsible for overall functioning of the medical office. Duties include but not limited to: Will be responsible for check in, and check out of patients. Scheduling, canceling and rescheduling patient visits based on established guidelines. Confirm patient appointments daily for next day. Verifying insurance authorizations. Makes sure that patient is aware of their financial responsibility regarding their co-pay, balance due or any deductible they may have. Maintainting medical records. Responsible for supply management. This position requires the ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
  • Answers phone calls and routes to appropriate party.
  • Assists providers to stay on schedule. Alerts patients of delays.
  • Reviews patient registration forms for accuracy.
  • Makes sure that patient is aware of their financial responsibility regarding their co-pay, balance due or any deductible they may have.
  • Copies patient insurance card, driver’s license, reviews guarantor information, employer etc. enters into computer system and reviews for accuracy.
