About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida has been serving the needs of our patients for 62 years. We are currently seeking a well-rounded and experienced Medical Assistant with Medical Front Desk expertise to join our team. The individual must be able to work a full-time, 35-40 per week, Monday-Thursday, 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-1:00, position at our Hollywood office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs. Description: This role is ideal for a motivated, organized, and patient focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and is comfortable handling both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Prior leadership experience is required. Must be willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field

Requirements

  • 1-year previous experience in a medical practice.
  • 1- year hands on medical assistant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear professional speaking voice.
  • Prior leadership experience
  • The ability to multitask and manage a high volume of patients and tasks.
  • Team oriented with strong organizational skills environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficient in computer systems and EMR software.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
  • Answer multi-line phones
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
  • Insurance Verification
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
  • Assist providers in exam room during visits and procedures
  • Communicate with patients regarding provider instructions and follow up care
  • Coordinate off site testing and services
  • Maintain accurate EMR records
  • Provide support to the manager with daily office operations, staff support and workflow efficiency as needed
