About The Position

Atlantic Health is seeking for a reliable, motivated and team-oriented individual to join our outpatient rehabilitation site located in Morristown, NJ as a Medical Office Associate. This is a full time and benefitted position that includes Medical, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement, among other perks at Atlantic Health. The Medical Office Associate position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by providing efficient front desk operations, exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clinical team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative experience in health facility strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system
  • Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assists patients with appointment scheduling
  • Checks patients in/out in EPIC
  • Transcribes orders
  • Manages referrals
  • Monitors and schedules PT online appointment request portal
  • Runs estimates, collects co-pays and up front balances
  • Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing
  • Manages departmental phone lines
  • Monitors Hello World (appointment reminder system)
  • Orders office and clinical supplies as needed
  • Assists patients with problem solving issues related to scheduling, registration, insurance, copays, etc.
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Completes and adheres to all AH and AR role specific mandatory trainings, guidelines and policies
  • Assists with insurance responsibilities as needed (depending on site volumes)
  • Maintains proper communication with supervisor and staff, including email correspondence and others in a timely manner
  • Performs other administrative tasks as needed
  • Assist with training
