About The Position

As the Medical Office Aide, you would be working in our Doctor's Office in Cape Girardeau to ensure appropriate records are complete prior to a client seeing our psychiatrist / nurse practitioner. You would be responsible for taking & recording vital signs, measuring height & weight, and completing basic questions/answers with clients upon arrival and prior to their doctor's appointment. Requirements

  • At minimum, High School Diploma / GED / HSE
  • Must hold valid drivers license and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred valid CNA certification, or Level One Medication Aide Certification
  • Previous medical office experience, or mental health experience

Responsibilities

  • Take & record blood pressure & pulse on arriving clients prior to appointments.
  • Obtain & document height & weight on same clients.
  • Provide assistance with the telemedicine process.
  • Work closely with the nursing staff.
  • Ensure that the values and mission of the agency are carried out.
  • Assist with collection of urine drug screenings as necessary.
  • Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community.
  • Participate in all required meetings as determined by supervisor.
  • May be required to travel to other offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
