About the role In this role, the Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate and high complexity testing. Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a "clinical" laboratory setting through education or work experience required

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/OR Associate degree- Medical Laboratory Science Program
Specific Degree(s): Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science
Other: Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent

Responsibilities

Perform all laboratory testing, including pre-analytical procedures, in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation standards to support patient care.
Conduct and document quality control procedures for tests, equipment, reagents, and media. Evaluate results and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and reliability of patient testing.
