About The Position

This full-time Medical Lab Scientist/Technician position is located at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, OH, with options for evening or night shifts. The role involves performing various laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include daily maintenance and quality control of equipment, troubleshooting issues with instruments or reagents, and precise recording and reporting of test results, including notifying clients of panic values. The successful candidate will also address client inquiries, participate in training new employees and students, and ensure compliance with all corporate integrity and safety policies of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS).
• ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible) or comparable required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tests in an accurate and efficient manner following established policies and procedures.
• Perform and record daily and/or routine maintenance and quality control on all equipment or reagents used for testing.
• Recognize problems with instruments, reagents, test results and/or supplies and initiates problem solving procedures.
• Record all results in an accurate, complete and readable format, utilizes computer systems correctly to generate results and notifies clients appropriately of panic value results.
• Address client related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner, following department policies and procedures.
• Participate in training of new employees and students in appropriate technical areas.
• Comply with all corporate integrity and safety policies of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories by performing other duties as required.
