About The Position

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Temporary Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at Cardiology Center of Houston in Katy, TX Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner. May perform patient check-in and/or check-out duties, including verifying insurance and updating demographic information. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently to optimize provider schedules. Answer phones promptly and route calls appropriately. Collect co-pays and outstanding balances, post payments accurately in the system. Obtain and verify insurance authorizations and referrals as required. Communicate effectively with medical assistants, technicians, and providers to ensure coordinated patient care. Perform general administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and filing documents. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of medical office or front desk experience (cardiology or specialty office preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and referral processes.
  • Proficient in eClinicalWorks preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
