About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Medical Director - Primary Care and Geriatrics to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Requirements

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Current DEA registration (all schedules).
  • BLS certification.
  • 3-5 years of medical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an Academically affiliated Ambulatory Care Center or NCQA-recognized Patient Centered Medical Home is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, evaluate all aspects of clinical services within the Adult Primary Care/Medicine Outpatient Division.
  • In partnership with the Chief of Ambulatory Care and Chief of Medicine, provide strategic direction and oversight in the development and administration of tactical direction, corporate culture, and organizational planning within the Adult Primary Care and Geriatrics Clinics.
  • Translate strategic direction into clear performance goals and priorities including productivity and efficiency targets, recruitment and retention, and metrics for importance aspects of care.
  • Establish and update staff on standards of clinical performance and new healthcare regulations.
  • Establish and implement patient safety and satisfaction goals to improve program protocols and clinical outcomes.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $249,431 based on 40-hour work week.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $274,374, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
