If you're detail-oriented, organized, and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this is the role for you. In this position, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments for home health services across a variety of payer sources.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• A knack for learning quickly and picking up new systems
• Top-tier customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• A commitment to high ethical standards and professionalism
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
• 1+ year of experience with reconciliation or balancing preferred

Nice To Haves

• Medical billing experience is a big plus and will be prioritized

Responsibilities

• Apply and reconcile incoming payments using multiple systems
• Review and understand payer documents and payment explanations
• Process claims, resolve rejections, and distribute balances to secondary/tertiary payers
• Research missing documents and apply manual and electronic payments
• Keep accounts accurate and up to date with daily reconciliation
• Support Medicaid eligibility checks and notify families and providers as needed
• Collaborate with other departments and provide top-notch customer service
• Communicate payment issues or patterns to leadership
• Tackle special projects and other tasks as assigned
