About Balance Foot & Ankle Wellness Center Balance Foot & Ankle Wellness Center is a growing and evolving surgical podiatric practice that is family owned. Our patient-centered practice encompasses all foot and ankle conditions from traumatic injuries, congenial conditions, skin and nail disorders, diabetic foot care and diabetic shoes, custom orthotics, in-office procedures, and wound care.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Great with people - from toddlers to seniors
- Comfortable working both front and back office
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in podiatry or orthopedics is a plus
- Proficiency with EMR software a plus
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients, taking vitals, and updating medical histories
- Assist the physician with in-office procedures and treatments
- Manage and prep exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain cleanliness standards
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups, verify insurance, and handle basic administrative tasks
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
