About The Position

This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant and Senior Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works unders the delegation of a licensed practioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant (MA II) performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An Medical Assistant (MA II) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.

Requirements

• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Associate Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months).
• Medical Assistant Required qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
• Medical Assistant Required qualifications: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
• Medical Assistant Required qualifications: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Medical Assistant Required qualifications: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Medical Assistant Required qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

• Senior Medical Assistant Required qualifications: Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Senior Medical Assistant Required qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Senior Medical Assistant Required qualifications: 2 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
• Senior Medical Assistant Required qualifications: 2 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

• Associate Medical Assistant Preferred Qualifications: 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
• Associate Medical Assistant Preferred Qualifications: 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
