Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech - Tarzana
About The Position
Immediate opening for Medical Assistant / X-Ray Tech to work full-time position for large orthopedic office in Tarzana. The Medical Assistant / X-Ray Tech will be responsible for: Assisting with Medical Assisting duties Willing to be trained/learn casting removals, etc. Prep patient for diagnostic imaging exam. Take medical histories. Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical conditions Prepare solutions for patients to drink. Surround the exposed area with radiation protection devices. Position radiographic equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body. Measure the thickness of the section to be radiographed. Adjust controls on the x-ray machine to produce radio-graphs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part. Keep patient records. Adjust and maintain equipment.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of X-Ray tech experience
- Knowledge of patient positions, exposure measures and times, and safety precautions
- Current Limited X-Ray license
- Current Basic Life Support Card (CPR/BCLS)
