About The Position

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant Location: Lincolnshire, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week) Hours: Monday- Friday between 7:00AM and 7:00PM, with will be required to work between 2 and 3 weekends a quarter. These shifts are between 7:00AM and 5:00PM and you will receive a day off during the week as needed

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• Experience: One year of work experience required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required
• previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
