About The Position
Position Highlights: Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant Location: Skokie, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week) Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am-5:30pm, Saturdays once every month from 7:30am-12pm Required Travel: Travel to Evanston site as needed What you will do: Answer phones Schedule appointments Collect co-payments Complete patient registration Provide other administrative support to the physician practice Check in and check out patient Verify insurances Greet patients and escort them to exam room Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit Provide front office support as needed Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight Phlebotomy and injections may be required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred
