Medical Assistant Medical Office Rep
About The Position
As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients. Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined. Consistently makes eye contact and smiles. Demonstrates active listening with positive can do attitude. Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy. Uses scripted greeting. "Thank you for choosing ____________________________________ this is (your name) how can I help you" Uses scripted closing at every interaction. "Is there anything else I can do for you" Over the phone and as patients leave the clinic.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program., upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant and
- Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist or an equivalent amount of experience in a high-volume customer service role in another industry/environment or
- 6 monthsexperience as a Phone Receptionist or Health Information Associate within Dignity Health.
- Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire
