Medical Assistant/LPN
About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and make a meaningful impact on patient care. As the MA/LPN, you will play a key role in supporting the clinical and administrative functions of our practice. You’ll be responsible for assisting our healthcare providers with patient care, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or LPN license required.
- Previous experience as an MA/LPN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, psychiatric diagnoses, and medications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR.
- As a healthcare provider, Southeast Healthcare is a non-smoking employer. Staff members are required to be vaccinated for the flu. Religious and medical exemptions may be requested during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician or other healthcare provider.
- Manage patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow and handle patient inquiries.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing and maintaining office supplies.
