About The Position

This is a full-time Medical Assistant II position located in Louisa, VA. The role is in a high-volume practice and offers a rewarding, team-oriented work environment. The position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Allied Health Training program
• Certification achieved by passing a National exam from a program other than the MA school
• Proof of re-certification, if applicable

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• One year’s experience in a health facility, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks pertinent to age of patient (infancy to geriatric)
• Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies; assists in the selection of division equipment and supplies.
• Performs all nursing procedures (with the exception of certain injections, triage, IVs and IV medications) as directed by the clinician according to the guidelines in the Nursing Procedure Manual.
• May be assigned lab duties
• Assists in quality assurance and control.
• Participates in the continuing educational process.
• Assists in the efficient flow of patients.
• Attends work as scheduled.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
