About The Position

Cottage Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant Coordinator for their CMG Cardiovascular Services Program responsible for facilitating the patient flow within the outpatient clinic by performing general front office clerical duties, patient registration, patient scheduling, patient insurance authorizations, billing, and reception as well as assist the physician(s) and patients in the clinical functions necessary to facilitate a patient visit. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Basic Microsoft Word skills.
  • 35 wpm keyboarding/typing speed.
  • 2 years of medical office/clerical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • California State Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and authorizations.
  • Microsoft Excel skills.
  • 3-5 years of medical assistant experience in a clinical environment
