About The Position

Under supervision, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in an ambulatory multi-specialty group practice. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including assuring positive care outcomes. S/he will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the primary and specialty care services provided to patients within the practice. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center. The Hospital Assistant III will be required to float, and support clinics in all ambulatory sites under the Department of Dermatology. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $32.86 - $41.01 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

  • Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program.
  • Knowledge and abilities are essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
  • Current TB test.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR license.
  • Experience with Epic health record computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • One year of experience as medical assistant.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
