About The Position

Are you an innovative, curious student with an interest in medical affairs or becoming a Medical Science Liaison (MSL)? Are you an aspiring OD, MD, PhD, or PharmD who is a compelling presenter, technologically savvy, and eager to explore what it means to work within a medical affairs team in the eye care pharmaceutical industry? If so, Harrow's Medical Affairs team wants to hear from you. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside our Medical Affairs leaders and MSLs to build physician tools, develop launch materials, analyze insights, operationalize concepts, and lead educational initiatives for our field medical affairs team. You'll leave with real experience, meaningful projects, and a glimpse into a career in medical affairs.

Requirements

  • Degree Program: Ideally, an OD, MD, PharmD, or PhD candidate within 2–3 years of graduation; exceptional rising junior and senior undergraduate students will also be considered
  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines
  • AI & Design Tools: Proficiency with AI platforms (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Experience with Excel (including VBA), SharePoint, and Microsoft Forms
  • Mindset: Self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious with a genuine interest in medical affairs and eye care

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of multimedia, MSL-facing and customer-facing tools that align with medical affairs strategy
  • Develop educational materials based on scientific posters and conference presentations for both internal and external audiences
  • Support the Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) review process for customer-facing materials
  • Assist with communications, contracts, and logistics for Key Opinion Leader (KOL) physician engagements
  • Help prepare the team for medical meetings and conferences
  • Analyze medical insights and team performance metrics to inform strategy
  • Create medical and scientific podcasts and instructional videos
  • Facilitate and lead journal clubs for the field medical affairs team
  • Identify gaps in HCP education and clinical evidence, and propose ideas to address unmet educational and evidence needs
  • Stay current on scientific literature and market trends related to Harrow's products; monitor KOL activity and opportunities for disease state education and awareness
  • You may have the opportunity to shadow team members during physician engagements
