About The Position

The Media Activation QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of media activations across digital and select offline channels. This role sits at the intersection of media execution, ad operations, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on campaign setup validation, tag management, and troubleshooting. The Media Activation QA Specialist helps raise the operational standard across channels, acting as a safeguard for quality while enabling teams to move faster and smarter. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in digital campaign QA or execution, a deep understanding of ad tech and tracking, and the ability to apply structured, repeatable QA processes across multiple channels and platforms. This role will play a critical part in protecting campaign performance, client trust, and operational excellence by identifying issues before launch, monitoring live campaigns, and proactively resolving discrepancies. This role is essential to ensuring campaigns launch correctly, data can be trusted, and issues are caught before they impact performance or client confidence.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in digital campaign execution, media activation, ad operations, or QA-focused media roles.
  • Hands-on experience QAing campaigns across multiple platforms, including search, paid social, and programmatic.
  • Strong understanding of ad operations fundamentals, including tag generation, implementation, and QA.
  • Experience troubleshooting tracking issues and engaging with clients or partners to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Comfort working with QA and ad tech tools; experience with Grasp or similar QA technology strongly preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a structured, process-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, platforms, and timelines without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Campaign QA & Activation Perform comprehensive pre-launch and in-flight QA across digital campaigns, including search, paid social, and programmatic platforms.
  • Validate campaign setup against media plans and platform requirements (budgets, dates, targeting, creatives, URLs, tracking, and naming conventions).
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms and buying tools from a QA perspective.
  • Document QA findings, flag issues, and partner with activation teams to resolve errors efficiently.
  • QA Technology & Process Management Own and operate QA technology tools (including Grasp) to support scalable, repeatable, and auditable QA processes.
  • Help define, refine, and standardize QA workflows, checklists, and best practices across channels.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline QA tasks while maintaining a high standard of detail and accuracy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on QA processes and tooling for media activation teams.
  • Ad Operations & Tag Management Generate, implement, and QA ad and tracking tags across platforms and environments.
  • Validate that tags are firing correctly and consistently across key sites, pages, and placements.
  • Monitor tag performance and identify issues such as dropped tags, misfires, or suspicious data trends.
  • Troubleshoot tracking discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams, publishers, and clients to resolve issues.
  • Provide guidance and education to internal teams and clients on tag-related best practices and limitations.
  • Cross-Channel & Offline QA Support Apply digital QA skillsets (process rigor, attention to detail, repeatable validation) to non-digital or offline trafficking workflows as needed.
  • Support QA for offline placements by validating specs, rotation details, timing, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure consistency and accountability across both digital and offline execution workflows.
  • Ongoing Monitoring & Optimization Support Conduct post-launch QA and ongoing monitoring to ensure campaigns continue to run as intended.
  • Proactively identify anomalies, delivery issues, or data inconsistencies and escalate appropriately.
  • Partner with activation, analytics, and client teams to ensure clean, reliable data for reporting and optimization.
