Spring Arbor Senior Living of Greensboro, NC is seeking qualified Med Tech SICs to join our team. Individuals are responsible for managing the medication administration program in accordance with state regulations. They direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and Med Techs and help coordinate services for residents under the direction of the Resident Care Director. Med Techs develop positive relationships with team members, families, and residents.

Requirements

  • Valid and state-specific Med Tech certification (Candidates must possess to move forward in process)
  • In addition to Med Tech certification, a PCA/DCS or CNA certification is required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Prior management experience in a similar work environment
  • High school diploma, or equivalent required
  • Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities

  • Document and review medication administration, refer to residents’ charts and administer medications according to physician’s orders.
  • Ensure that medications are being administered at appropriate times and order residents’ medications in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or therapies
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility and incontinence care.
  • Respond to resident emergency call system.
