Basic Job Functions: The maintenance planner will be responsible for working with both maintenance and operational teams to effectively plan and coordinate necessary activities in order to maintain world class performance at NSBB. Job responsibilities include detailed planning of down days, effective use of available time windows to perform necessary tasks, shutdown planning, oversight of the maintenance EAM system, tracking critical path items, contractor prioritization and coordination, creation of preventative and predictive practices, and tracking key performance indicators. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of mechanical maintenance or engineering experience
Minimum of one year of leadership experience in maintenance or operations

Nice To Haves

Experience with EAM/ERP systems.
Prior project management, scheduling, and planning experience.
Computer experience to include report writing and data analytics.
Prior exposure to warehouse and inventory management concepts.
Experience prioritizing, coordinating, and controlling various contractors.
