We are seeking a Mechanical Services Technician to join our Facilities Services Group in the Denver, CO area. The Mechanical Services Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency across assigned properties. This role plays a critical part in: Preventative maintenance and system inspections Mechanical diagnostics and repair Emergency service response Efficiency improvement recommendations Compliance documentation and safety adherence This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service excellence. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience servicing HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to respond to emergency service needs
  • Valid driver’s license (if field travel required)
  • Preventative maintenance planning
  • Mechanical diagnostics and repair execution
  • Time management and independent work capability
  • Clear communication with clients and internal teams
  • Accurate documentation and recordkeeping
  • Commitment to safety and professional standards
  • Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical services, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proven track record of working with a variety of HVAC systems and components in a facilities services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (EPA, HVAC technical certifications, etc.)
  • Experience working in commercial or medical office environments
  • Familiarity with building automation systems
  • Five or more years of experience in HVAC or mechanical services, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC Maintenance & Repair Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
  • Diagnose and repair air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems, and related equipment
  • Execute repairs that minimize downtime and restore system performance quickly
  • Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Service Response & Coordination Respond promptly to emergency service requests to minimize disruption for clients
  • Collaborate with property management teams and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Communicate clearly regarding system issues, timelines, and repair status
  • Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, and repair work
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Stay current on emerging HVAC technologies and industry best practices
  • Additional Responsibilities Assist with facilities-related projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
