About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global TIC business. Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE

Requirements

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Performs duties comparable to that of a Senior Technician, utilizing the added skills and knowledge that comes with earning an Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a testing-related field
• Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirements
• Requires minimal supervision and technical input of a Principal Technician, Project Coordinator or Test Engineer
• Possess the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data
• Ability to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer specifications
• Ability to work overtime and weekends on occasion
• Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of internal and client requirements
• Supervising allocated staff and being responsible for the day to day management of the relevant discipline
• Operating complex mechanical testing equipment
• Maintaining accurate and systematic records
• Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
• Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
• Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment
• Report writing, data interpretation and analysis
