About The Position

Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future. At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We’re creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision. Design using Creo/Pro-E to develop and release engineering designs including CAD objects using EPDM processes (or equivalent). Coordinate engineering design packages with program PMP, stress, systems engineering, checking, manufacturing, product assurance, and configuration and data management as a minimum; specify engineering approvers; change task development in EPDM would be a plus but not necessary. Implement strict CAD modeling standards; utilize "model-check" tools and resolve design issues to meet modeling standards. Design components and subsystems using interfaces from a master CAD model. Develop, integrate component and subsystem designs as part of the single master target CAD model. Incorporate redlines, complete drawing and model changes, federate parts and materials, and coordinate changes for release in EPDM. Handle aspects of product acceptance reviews, project management, and responsible engineer (Certified Principal Engineer or equivalent) functions. Some travel may be required.
