Körber Technologies, Inc., a leading Sales and Service company supporting the North American tobacco industry, is currently seeking an Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical components and production equipment used in tobacco manufacturing. This role supports efficient, high-quality production operations while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • You have a high school diploma or GED; your technical training is preferred
  • 1–3 years of mechanical assembly or maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical documents

Responsibilities

  • You will assemble, align, and install mechanical components, subassemblies, and production parts for tobacco-processing and packaging equipment
  • Perform routine mechanical adjustments, calibrations, and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment to complete accurate assemblies
  • You will inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company specifications
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production teams to resolve mechanical issues and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of assembly work, inspections, and maintenance activities
  • You will follow all company safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and tobacco-industry regulations
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards
  • Participate in required training and cross-training to support operational flexibility
  • Manage logistics for plant tours, vendor visits, and customer visits
