Mechanical Maintenance Technician

LaborupLoudon, TN
$22 - $29

About The Position

We are seeking a highly capable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in a clean, modern, and automation-heavy industrial environment. If you have a true "fix-anything" mentality and a relentless troubleshooting mindset, we want to hear from you. You do not need prior industrial manufacturing or factory maintenance experience to be successful in this role. We actively welcome candidates with strong mechanical aptitudes from diverse trade backgrounds, including automotive repair, HVAC, heavy equipment mechanic work, diesel mechanics, and more. If you inherently understand how mechanical things work and know how to wrench on them, diagnose them, and fix them, you will thrive here. Operating within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, this role offers an exceptional and highly predictable schedule: you will work just 3.5 night shifts per week, leaving you with 3.5 days to yourself. You will be expected to execute complex mechanical tasks independently while also serving as a collaborative teammate and mentor.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or GED/HiSET.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance or mechanical trade role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in mechanical systems
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proven ability in troubleshooting and executing preventive maintenance procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a trade school, community college, or a completed maintenance apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting – Safely diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and document malfunctions across complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maintain optimal process efficiency. Bring a natural curiosity and a root-cause problem-solving mindset to every breakdown.

  • Fabrication & Machine Work – Perform welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, cutting, metal fabrication, and general machine shop tasks as needed to repair or replace broken components.
  • Technical Documentation – Read and accurately interpret blueprints, mechanical diagrams, fluid power schematics, and technical manuals. Utilize computer systems (CMMS) to access, manage, and document work orders.
  • Safety & Compliance – Follow and actively promote safe work practices (including Lockout/Tagout), maintaining absolute compliance with all safety and health policies while inspecting machinery to identify wear, errors, or defects.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration – Train, mentor, and guide less-experienced maintenance personnel. Collaborate closely with machine operators, supervisors, and cross-functional team members to resolve equipment issues swiftly and efficiently.
