About The Position

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical background to take the lead on maintaining and repairing our forklift fleet and other material handling equipment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and keeping equipment in top shape.

Requirements

• Mechanical expertise – experience with forklifts or material handling equipment is a big plus!
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using power and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold storage and dry storage environments).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at heights when required.
• Flexible schedule availability, including occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of maintenance experience or trade school training in mechanical repair.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems (Freon, CO₂, or ammonia) is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components impacting facility operations.
• Complete routine inspections and maintenance on facility systems, including plumbing and electrical.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Use power tools and welding equipment as needed for repairs and fabrication.
• Operate lifts and other equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
