SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Intern for Summer 2025. This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Brentwoood/Nashville Office each day.

Requirements

• Students must be enrolled in a ABET accredited engineering school majoring in Mechanical Engineering or technically related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, CAD (Revit, autocad, or other 3D based design software).
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
