About The Position

Requirements

• Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology from an ABET accredited school -OR- equivalent combination of degree and experience.
• Solidworks CSWP level certification -OR- a minimum of 2,500 hours of Solidworks experience, with primary focus on solid modeling, assembly, and drafting of mechanical parts.
• Experience with creating and editing Solidworks design tables.
• Experience creating and editing formulas in excel to drive parameters in design tables.
• Experience reading and interpreting ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Candidate must be US citizen.

Nice To Haves

• GDTP-senior level certification.
• Experience working with Solidworks PDM-Professional.
• PDM-Professional administrative knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Creates engineering drawings and layouts using Solidworks CAD software.
• Creates and manages part families using design tables in Solidworks.
• Processes engineering change requests in accordance with existing processes and procedures.
• Evaluates design drawings to determine impact of engineering changes.
• Reviews and makes changes to drawings under direction of engineers.
• Interprets and applies Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
