We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Engineering department within our Flex Air division in El Paso, TX. Flex Air focuses on delivering industry-leading, high-performance modular mechanical and electrical systems, as well as Custom HVAC systems in the automotive, semiconductor, healthcare, and education sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of concurrent Mechanical Engineering experience or similar market experience.
  • Manufacturing floor knowledge within the mechanical, HVAC and structural industries
  • Knowledge of welding principles and sheet metal design
  • Excellent root cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of Hydronics, Mechanical Piping, HVAC design, and Industrial Manufacturing desired.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems and equipment within each phase of the process.
  • Evaluate mechanical systems, products, components and applications by designing and conducting research while applying knowledge of mechanical experience and design.
  • Creation/modification of the 3D and 2D CAD data, product documents and bill of materials while meeting the intent of the customers' design requirements.
  • Assure product quality and function by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components, soliciting observations from operators.
  • Assist in the manufacturing of products and process optimization.
  • Support of project management with project schedule coordination
  • Evaluate raw material processing equipment.
  • Recommend purchase of capital equipment items designed to improve production efficiency.
  • Ensure that all legal and regulated obligations (i.e. OSHA, building codes) from an Engineering and Design standpoint meet all federal, state or local laws and regulations.
