About The Position

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in North Logan, UT is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Strategic & Military Space (SMS) Division. The selected candidate will produce 3D solid models and production drawings of parts and assemblies using design processes found in the aerospace and defense industry. The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
10+ years of professional experience with 3D Solid Modeling Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
Applied math skills and ability to use analytical formulas
Strong organizational and communication skills
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Nice To Haves

Active Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
10+ years of experience with NX CAD software using Teamcenter PLM
Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and system level tolerance analysis
Experience designing space structures, optical elements, bonded structures, or composite structures for cryogenic/vacuum environments
Experience with cable harness routing
Knowledge of manufacturing processing, fixturing, and tooling
Familiarity with surface treatments and finishes
Experience with part inspection

Responsibilities

Performs detailed CAD design for space hardware and ground support equipment
Generates fabrication and assembly drawings, including tolerancing
Collaborates with engineering teams to meet schedule, cost, and design requirements
