We’re currently hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern for our East Wenatchee, WA location. This internship offers the chance to tackle real-world engineering challenges, contribute to the development of innovative products, and collaborate with experienced professionals across disciplines. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in designing and testing advanced instrumentation used in critical applications around the globe.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of related experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Use analytical skills, reasoning, and engineering judgment to support the development of new and innovative pressure and temperature transducer designs for extreme environments.
  • Design and update components and assemblies including machined parts, welded assemblies, diaphragms, housings, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Create and revise engineering drawings and documentation to internal standards (including tolerances and basic GD&T; mentoring provided).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
  • Support prototype construction, laboratory testing, and qualification activities during the product design cycle.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to test and production issues and help implement corrective actions.
  • Provide sustaining/continuation engineering support for existing products (drawing updates, engineering change requests, fixture improvements, documentation clean-up).
  • Interact with electrical, manufacturing, test, quality, supply chain, and customers on technical matters as appropriate.
  • Identify and implement product and process improvements to reduce costs, improve yield, and enhance manufacturability and testability.
