Job Description Read and interpret work instruction documentation, such as sequence sheets, prints, photos, and shop floor notes to understand all the steps in assembly. Attach screws, fittings, labels, and other parts to an aluminum extrusion in a prescribed order or fashion. Operate an automated assembly machine occasionally, such as a PEM insert machine. Visually inspect product and organize finished product for inspection. Clean and organize the immediate work area to maintain a safe environment. Pack material as needed.

Requirements

  • Perform a variety of repetitive operations to add small to medium sized pieces, parts and labels to a custom or semi-custom aluminum extrusion.
  • Maintain positive, productive relationships with other workers in the department, supervisors, quality inspectors and production control.
  • Utilize a variety of small hand and power tools for assembly, such as screwdriver, pliers, soldering gun, etc. May also use a semi-automated assembly tool.
  • May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds (by hand or by using a cart).
