About The Position

Summary/Objective The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing high-precision products of varying complexity under minimal supervision. This person will also be responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assemble various assemblies, subassemblies, standards, and unique products according to regulatory, organizational, and procedural requirements. Accurate fitting, aligning, and adjusting required very close tolerances or precision fits subject to strict inspection. The ability to cut, strip, solder, crimp and terminate small gauge wire according to specifications using hand and power tools Set up, and test complete products to ensure that units meet specification and customer order requirements using automated and manual testing methods. Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean manufacturing environment. Instruct others in assembly and test methods. Assist in the creation of assembly procedures to ensure clarity and product quality. Other responsibilities as required.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five plus years of experience in a precision electro-mechanical assembly environment
  • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work
  • Must have visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications; visual abilities also include close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational school background in electrical or electronics helpful
  • Training to IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards for electronic and cable/wire harness assemblies helpful
