About The Position

We are seeking experienced Mechanical & Piping Insulators to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at NS Mayport Base. This role involves applying insulating materials to mechanical systems, ductwork, and piping to control and maintain temperature, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimum education required.
4 or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator in a commercial, or facilities operations setting; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply insulating materials to mechanical systems, ductwork, and piping to control and maintain temperature.
Utilize appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with team members to meet project milestones and quality standards.
