About The Position

Since 1996, RQ Construction, LLC. has been a leading player in commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects, spanning coast to coast and internationally, including North Carolina. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire several Mechanical and Piping Insulators to join our self-perform team for ongoing work at Camp Lejeune, NC. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the Camp Lejeune, NC military base. Our Insulators will be responsible for applying insulating materials or ductwork, or other mechanical systems in order to help control and maintain temperature. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position.
  • Should be supplemented by completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work.
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator (an apprenticeship program preferred) in a commercial or facilities operations setting is required
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
