About The Position

This full-time, on-site role offers $75,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience, along with excellent benefits, a collaborative team environment, and long-term career potential. As a key member of their estimating team, you’ll be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and partnering with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver accurate and competitive proposals. Requirements

  • Degree from a college, trade school, or equivalent technical training required.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction estimating, with a focus on piping and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in mechanical estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and bid documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review RFPs, specifications, and design documents to determine project scope and estimating requirements.
  • Prepare complete and accurate quantity take-offs for HVAC and piping systems using estimating software.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Assemble and organize comprehensive estimating spreadsheets and proposal documents.
  • Coordinate with superiors, peers, and estimating staff to clarify scope, requirements, and project details.
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure all estimating work aligns with company standards, policies, and best practices.
