As part of the Sensors team based in Burnsville, Minnesota - The Design Engineering Intern will participate in the mechanical design, test and troubleshooting of various types of sensors for the aviation industry. Tasks will be part of a team effort that will be focused on the design of new products as well as support of current manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to learn fundamental principles of the aviation industry, gain experience in multidisciplinary technology development, regulations, and gain experience in presenting technical information. This position is onsite, in Burnsville, MN. This role may be eligible for relocation.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Nice To Haves
- Degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering with strong academic record and interest in mechanical design, testing and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- You will assist in developing of data and makes layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals.
- You will participates in investigation of pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
- You will assist in designing, developing and testing metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.
