About The Position

(REPOST) Classified Position: Mechanic, Full Time Hours/Months Hourly Rate 8 hrs./12 mos. $28.84 Effective Date Immediately Note: If you previously applied for this position, you do not need to reapply. Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED. - Previous experience providing maintenance and repair of transportation vehicles. - Previous experience maintaining/repairing school buses and diesel engines preferred. - Current Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement, no Air Brake Restriction, and clean driving record. - Current Class 7 State Inspection license. The following responsibilities are expected from the position but are not limited to: - Diagnose, repair, and maintain school buses, vans, and other equipment as assigned. - Maintain adequate supply of all inventory and supplies. - Provide emergency road service to district vehicles. - Assist drivers when required to maintain proper fuel supply, engine oil level, transmission oil level, engine coolant level, and proper air pressure in tires. - Maintain a clean and orderly work area. - Assist with snow and ice removal as needed. Requirements
