About The Position

A Mechanic Technician in a packaging‑equipment environment is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining high‑speed packing machinery and related mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands‑on troubleshooting ability, and consistent adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

Mechanical and electrical experience in a repair and troubleshooting packing machines, at least 3 years, desirable 5 years.
Basic mechanics and tools of the trade.
Electrical instrumentation.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and analyze machine drawings and specifications
Ability to read operating manuals and troubleshooting guides.
Knowledge of gages and other indicator systems.
PLC and instrumentation experience in packing machines, handling materials systems and utility equipment.
Safety experience with OSHA.
Pass test established by Provider – Scientific Management, Inc. and or similar company.
Needs to have a strong mechanical and electrical background preferably in packaging equipment such as high speed bag fillers for retail and industrial sizes and robotic palletizers.
Must provide production coverage when maintenance is not scheduled, and must be able to fabricate, machine and weld parts as needed.
High School Education / or equivalent.
