Mechanic Technician
About The Position
The maintenance employee will perform semiskilled and unskilled manual tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the Freshpak building, and equipment. The types of activities the Maintenance employee will engage in includes, but is not limited to: Work Scope: 1. General yardwork – Weeding, raking, lawn mowing and trimming. 2. General repairs 3. Painting/touch ups 4. Troubleshooting non-urgent maintenance and repair issues: e.g. bathrooms, faucets etc. 5. Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance including changing lights, smoke detectors etc. 6. Maintenance is one-person maintenance and repair tasks and special projects as needed. 7. Some welding as needed.
Requirements
- Six (6) months related experience, including experience utilizing hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to read and write instructions, short correspondence, work orders, service requests and to converse with co-workers, and management,
- Available for on-call in exceptional circumstances
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical and safety orientation.
- Physical agility to perform all aspects of the job including standing, sitting, walking, the use of stairs and ladders; ability to stoop, kneel or crouch; specific vision abilities related to the job tasks; physical ability to move appliance with the assistance of an appliance dolly; ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly and/or another employee.
