Responsible for assisting mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment. This role supports efficient shop operations by performing routine tasks, organizing tools and parts, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team or independently.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL and endorsements related to the mechanic and transport field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics with vehicle and equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Retrieve and organize tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Help with lifting, moving, and positioning heavy parts and machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
