Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to adhere to strict safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment and machinery used in mining and extraction operations.
  • Prepare and organize tools, parts, and materials needed for mechanical repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, work areas, and tools to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Support the documentation of maintenance activities, including logging repairs and parts usage.
  • Transport equipment and materials to and from work sites as directed by senior mechanics.
  • Learn and apply basic mechanical skills under supervision to progressively take on more complex tasks.
