About The Position

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & p a per. The successful candidate will be responsible for building custom equipment from the ground up. The chosen individual will have strong mechanical aptitude and a great attitude!

Requirements

High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred .
Minimum of two years' experience in machine assembly or similar mechanical task .
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings .
Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure .
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts and manlifts .
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments .
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English .
Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
NOTE: You will be using your own tools. The company will not be supplying or pu r chasing these for you.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading mea s urements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fa s tening parts and subassemblies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Verify specifications by measuring completed assemblies.
Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts and manlifts.
Be available to work overtime when needed to ensure deadlines are met .
Other duties as assigned.
