About The Position

The Mead Park Court Attendant is responsible for overseeing reservations and monitoring usage of the pickleball and tennis courts at Mead Park, while providing general supervision of the facility. This role helps ensure smooth daily operations, promotes fair play, and maintains a positive and welcoming experience for all players.

Requirements

  • Must be 16+ with strong organizational skills, patience, and effective communication abilities.
  • Background check required.
  • Ability to listen, observe, and enforce facility rules.
  • Competence in following instructions and manuals.
  • Physical ability to operate cleaning equipment, lift and carry light garbage bags, and maintain constant visual supervision of the courts and facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification in CPR/AED (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Court Management: Oversee daily use of the pickleball and tennis courts, including managing reservations through CourtReserve and assisting with open play organization.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional assistance to the public both in person and over the phone, helping with questions, check-ins, and general support.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform light maintenance of the courts and surrounding areas, ensuring spaces remain clean, safe, and well organized.
  • Fee Management: Collect guest fees when applicable, handle transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Regulation Enforcement: Enforce court rules, rotation procedures, and facility guidelines to ensure fair play and a positive environment for all participants.
  • Program & Event Oversight: Support and supervise scheduled programs, clinics, and special events held at the pickleball and tennis courts.
  • Weather & Court Safety: Monitor weather conditions and assist with basic court upkeep such as drying courts or reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Waste Management: Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash and ensuring proper disposal in designated areas.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond appropriately to injuries or medical situations and follow established safety protocols.
