Position Summary The incumbent should possess practical computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook, proficient knowledge of and experience in telephone etiquette, competent typing and data entry, ability to create detailed correspondence, and a general knowledge of report functions within databases. This is a very detail-oriented area of the Sheriff’s Office that operates at a fast pace. The most desirable candidate will be a team player, able to multi-task, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of administrative experience

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming phone calls
  • Welcome visitors and guests
  • Research necessary information on the computer when needed by caller or client
  • Review inactive records via OMS record system
  • File active records and maintain files in alphabetical order
  • File all inactive records and maintain files
  • Assist Records Officers when there is a need to search for missing records
  • Prepare and box all inactive records for the current year to send to archives at the end of each year.
