The Philadelphia School (TPS) is seeking a full-time Math Specialist for grades 4-8. We are a Preschool - Grade 8 progressive, independent school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with an enrollment of approximately 420 students. Position Summary: The Learning Resources team at The Philadelphia School seeks to provide support in both academic and social-emotional contexts. Our team includes learning specialists and expert mental health professionals who help students, teachers, and parents navigate the teaching and learning process. They provide support in language arts, mathematics, and executive functioning skills to students and address a diversity of learning styles. The Math Specialist will work with small groups of students on foundational skills and to push into classrooms to work alongside teachers and students. The successful candidate will be someone who is knowledgeable about best practices and current research as it relates to elementary and middle school mathematics to ensure the best possible experience and outcomes for our wide range of learners.
