About The Position

The Material Specialist role is essential to ensure timely procurement, inventory control, stock replenishment, and AOG support, directly impacting aircraft availability and operational reliability.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to: Paperwork reviews, coordinating with records on any records updates as needed. Prepares all required documents for Export as required. Retrieves and/or drops off parts within the airport or outside suppliers or shipping agencies. Completes transactions to fill open requisitions generated by PMI or equivalent system generated requisition issued by Maintenance Control or Line Maintenance. Issues parts to specific aircraft/Work Orders through PMI. Communicates and work efficiently with all internal departments throughout Amerijet to expedite the supply of Materials to minimize delays.  Verifies that all parts in the inventory have properly certification/ETR tagged, identified and stored/maintained in proper locations specified by the GMM and FAA standards/Requirements. Is responsible for a safe and controlled environment within the Stores Department. Ensures that work area is clean and void of hazards or safety issues throughout the Store’s department. Operates a forklift for loading and unloading of material deliveries.  Performs daily/weekly/monthly/annual inventory as directed by management. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Administration skills are mandatory.
  • Must be able to handle delicate components, and ensure materials received are free of damage, or missing parts.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups' situations to customers, client and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions using sound judgment.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • In possession of a Valid Driver’s license
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets Amerijet’s insurance standards.
  • Willingness to work 8-hr or 10-hr shift covering 24/7 operations

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of material services experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
  • Stock clerk experience is advantageous.
  • Identification of HAZMAT Materials and knowledge of proper handling.
  • Operation of Forklifts and other lifting devices as needed to unload materials into the warehouse.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to accomplish computerized transactions in PMI, Trax, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
  • May need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
